For much of my work life I have felt lucky to be doing something challenging and that I love. Working in the radio industry was always exciting and people would always comment what a cool job I had! But it was a hard industry to break into and before I became successful I had family and friends who would say why don't you get a more sensible or normal kind of job, but really what's normal anyway?

But it was a hard industry to break into and before I became successful I had family and friends who would say why don't you get a more sensible or normal kind of job, but really what's normal anyway?

I stayed in the industry for about a decade or so and achieved many goals of mine, but after a while I started to run out of patience for my passion and realised it was time for a complete life shift. I was getting a bit older and more conscious of my true calling in life. I kept thinking. "What Am I Really Supposed To Do With My Life?" That's when I realised I loved helping people and animals. Other major factors in my life also made me shift my thinking. I had just given birth to my first baby and the financial crisis was looming.

At the time I thought there are a million reasons why I shouldn't follow my dream. And I bet you can think of why you didn't follow your passion too . Not enough money, Kids Marriage/wedding, Want to go on holidays, Move house, Family member got sick, Partner dumped you, You're not good enough!

Excuses will get you NOWHERE! So if you keep using them you will continue to live in your mediocre world and always wonder "What If?" Once I realised that no magic Genie was going to come and grant me my dream life I realised I had to make it hapen myself.

My eyes suddenly opened when I had my first baby. I had a desire to provide her a lifestyle I once only dreamt about, but I also had an overwhelming urge to do something I love and make her proud to be my daughter. What if I could achieve it all? From that day I started reading lots of books. Books by famous entrepreneurs like Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump and Richard Branson and also lots of self help books like "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne and "The Power Of Now" by Eckhart Tolle. Slowly I started believing in myself, which I kept reading is the first step and one of the most important keys to success. I thought back over my life for the past 10 years and while I had a great time, I realised I wasn't truly happy. I was content with my average achievements, but now it was time to STEP UP!

I know I learn much better if I taught with pictures, so I created my own VISION BOARD. Its a big piece of cardboard with all my dreams and aspirations pasted all over it. You can be as creative as you like. I used pictures from magazines, photos and bits and pieces from my old scrapbooking kit to create a collage of what I want to achieve in life. Theres pictures of Siberian Husky dogs because I want to go dog sledding one day, a photo of my husband and daughter with the words LOVE and SUCCESSFUL FAMILY around. There's also little notes of aspirations that say WRITE A BOOK, CREATE ANIMAL TV SHOW etc.

And ... one of my main goals was to run an online business so I could be a stay-at-home Mum.

I tried a few things including: 1. affiliate marketing 2. online data entry job 3. multi-level-marketing

I absolutely hated MLM the most. Friends and family started avoiding me because I was always trying to sell them something or sign them up.

But I just knew that people were really making heaps of money via the Internet, but how do you sort the credible from the crap? After much research I found out you really have to put these companies under the microscope. Check if they are a registered business Don't hand over money until they tell you exactly what the opportunity is Don't believe the hype about Limited time offers etc. Be wary if they pressure you too much Look at the pictures on their website. Is the car/boat/mansion really theirs?

Eventually I chose a company I am comfortable with. I am now proud to work with these people and the Personal Development products they market. We are currently in a booming market trend as the online world continues to explode so take advantage and take a chance like I did and start living the life you deserve.

So whatever you choose just remember it is a CHOICE and you only have yourself to blame if you don't like the results. Do you choose PASSION or PROSPERITY?

I always choose BOTH!
